My friend just got his, I'm going to take a course and apply for mine. That video clip has a point. Guns don't kill, people do. A gun is a tool, just like any other.

As far as home defense is concerned, I would never consider using a gun for that purpose unless confronted by an intruder wielding a gun.

If you put holes in a trespasser wielding a knife or a bat, you'll go to jail. Rules of engagement: Do not fire until fired upon.....apply to civilian life as well.

When I get a gun, it's for the range or hunting only. If you apply with any other mindset, you won't get your PAL.

If there is one thing that Americans have right it is there justice system. they protect the people down there we protect the criminal up here. I have been told before by a cop last time my house was broken into if you confront the guy and beat him he cna charge you with assault the cop said it is bette of killing the guy or beating him and bringing him out onto the street and dont report the robbery just report you saw someone lieing in the street. I disagree with charging the death to the accomplice. However, I strongly disagree that an owner should have to defend their actions in regards to protecting their family and possessions.

Canada's system is very friendly to the criminal, and I believe its because they can be. Even with the gang shootings, we are still a very low crime country. I think that as crime increases, our laws will do the same.

And I as a Canadian DO NOT want the amount of people with guns that the US has.

While on the subject of US vs. Canada...have you ever looked at the prison population south of the border? It's a fucking industry that relies on massive amounts of people entering and not leaving the system. Hell...they even have privately owned prisons. Nice. I want someone profiting from that.
