+1 for industryimages. Have dealt with them, and you're talking about a "frosted" style of plastic right?

That stuff is super expensive, but if you're willing to, i'm sure they can help.

It's not super expensive unless you're paying $4 per card:

Just make sure you get a card with a subtle off-white colouring, a tasteful thickness, and Oh my God!, don't forget the watermark. :D

LOL... that "frosted-like" plastic, if you have a whole card, it'll be approx $3+/card

I excluded every information usually found on business cards which I think is really redundant and ended up with an ultra-minimal, basic and simple design. It received equal amounts of praise and criticism among my peers but my client absolutely loved them. I even had a client who said to me “You know this is one of the times when you see something that makes you really happy”. It is a namecard that does not require someone to spend more than two seconds reading unnecessary text to have a good idea who I am.

Double-sided, full color (although I went with B&W anyways), one side is laminated. I think I got 1000 for $100 or something.

I'm interested in getting this done, locally or in US - doesn't matter.

I used vistaprint.com before, but i want something nicer now.

SG, you wouldn't know if Blitzgear would do something like this? I even like their business cards, they are semi-transparent.

Any print shop should be able to do them for you. They just need to get the paper from their supplier. I know my work can do them.
