My sister was hit by a vehicle on May 3rd. She had the right of way, with the green walking sign when she crossed the intersection. Vehicle sped away after hitting her.
There were a couple of witnesses; I've tried to contact the Constables involved to see what information/leads they have, left a couple of messages and still no phone call.
- What more can I do to get a hold of the Constables?
Sister was dismissed from hospital today May 11th with some serious damage to her left leg's ligaments and bruises in a dozen of places.
I'm dealing with an Occupational Therapist right now from GF Strong referred by ICBC.
- Are these guys any good?
- Are there any rehab centre any of you personally dealt with that you would recommend?
- Any suggestions are welcome.

Call us at the switchboard tomorrow and we can see if the constables have a direct line. Some constables only have voicemail though and if that's the case your just gonna have to wait it out till they contact you back.
Edit or you can still call today lol. Forgot it's open till 5pm

My dad works at GF Strong, he said they treat tons of patients, everything from spinal injury to accidents rehab. They've been around for a long time, good reputation.
Hope it helps.

Thanks for advice. Switchboard was very helpful, checking their schedule and trying to find out how they can be reached etc.

Did you happen to call us today and speak to a Carly? I overheard a coworkers call about somebody looking for officers and left a voice but was looking for a direct line?
Good luck mang!
any of the witnesses get the plate # of the vehicle?

GF Strong is probably one of, if not, the best physical therapy institutions in North America. My dad became temporarily paralysed from the waist down due to a undetected bacterial infection in his spine that actually ate an entire vertebrae. After multiple surgeries at Royal Columbian Hospital, then 6 months in GF Strong, he walked out on elbow crutches.
Although the injuries will always affect his life, he now walks around pretty normally. If you can get your sister in there do it as soon as you can.

The only way to find more information relating the case is to talk to the officers involved because of the privacy laws. I've left a couple more messages today and will try to contact their detachment to see if I'm lucky enough to catch them in the office.
