I don't see why not. There are plenty of dog owners too lazy to walk their own dogs. And it's easy money for the kid.
And it's a 30 min walk/jog/run. If the kid can talk 5 dogs at a time, that's a nice easy $70/hr cash. Not bad for some kid in highschool, sure beats working at McDick's. Man, I wish I could've thought of something like this back in tha day.

Props to he/she for at least trying to make some money at age 14. I'd pay her $10 to walk my dog for an hour without question, anybody know any dog walkers in East Langley?

What if you drop your car off for repairs or new tires and come back, your car is nowhere to be seen and they pretend they've never met you before. :)

Its a guy. His name is Kyle
Hi there. I saw your ad for a dog walker on Craigslist and was wondering if you could discuss some of your services with me. I'll let you know about my dog so I can be sure you know who you'd be spending time with.
His name is Ulic and hes a three year old neapolitan mastiff. He loves to run and can be indimidating to people as we haven't snapped him out of the habit of trying to climb on people's laps (even while they're still standing).
Being a large dog he obviously eats big and leaves big gifts behind on the sidewalk. These are un-naturally heavy and due to the specialized diet (he is a purebred) can be quite smelly, smelling like a mix of cornmeal and Jovan Musk cologne. We, of course, will provide materials like bags, gloves, a small scooping shovel, and a turkey baster (for obvious reasons)
He also can be nervous around flapping fabric (clothes on a clothesline, flags, etc) and tends to bark at people with a darker skin tone than beige. We didn't raise him to be racist but unfortunately he just happened to turn out this way. This has been difficult for us to deal with in public and since we moved to Richmond from Surrey has been less of an issue but still can cause a problem at times.
The reason we are willing to pay another person to spend time with Ulic is because we feel he has a bit of a social anxiety disorder and exposure to other people should help that. We can't tell you how many leg humpings, crotch sniffings, shoe molestations, and urine trees (which I'm sure you're familiar with) we've had to deal with. We refuse to neuter him because we feel that will have an ever greater impact on his psyche and don't believe this will become an issue with you walking him.
We certainly hope that this will be a good fit for you and look forward to you walking him.
HI THERE
HE SOUNDS GREAT. I searched a picture on google of the breed and boy! arent they large. I am really interested into coming to meet up with him. are you able to send any pictures of him? How much are you willing to pay. I also can come in reguarley. I was thinking ever saturday at 1:00pm. Is that ok or is there another time. And I will need your address after we come up with a date to meet him. Hopefully soon. My name is kyle. Thanks
Thank you
:)
Good to hear that you're enthusiastic about walking him. We like to keep a positive attitude around him ever since the incident with the children in Surrey. He can be a little tempermental and we don't want to end up on the news again.
Right now I don't have a picture of him, I'll wait until my partner gets home from work. He has the camera with him but we may have to wait a few days because Ulic got into the neighbours trash and I've been picking fish scales and beet peels from the folds of his skin all day. It wouldn't be so difficult if he didn't squirm so much.
I'll have an answer for you about finances tomorrow. Ideally I'd like to set up a regular schedule of walking and burping him (its a simple procedure that I can show you) and we can pay you in advance or some of it. Saturday does sound good but since I have an appt in the morning I can't commit to it just yet. It depends on how long they last, but then again I charge by the hour so if it takes a bit longer than expected it works out better because I have more money to pay you.
We also had an idea. If you wanted to take him for a run we'd like to be there for moral support. Supporting our dog is very important to us and if you wanted to take a jog we could drive behind you and honk and cheer. That way Ulic would know we were there for him.
Anyway Kyle, let us know how all of this sounds. We'll get back to you a little later on this afternoon.
Thanks.
What happend with the news, and the children insident if you dont mind me asking. Also everything sounds fine. And is he a bit big to be burping.
ok then
Thank you
:)
Oh its no big deal. We had Global BC pull the story from their website.
Anyhow, could you tell us a little about your experience with dogs?
Thanks
I am a responsible 14 year old boy who has had alot of experience with dogs. I have had smaller dogs but I have a german shepard, pomeranian, a multi-poo, and a terrier mix. I am a bit scared of the story. Was it bruital. has he ever hurt any one before.
Thank you

It really is nothing to worry about. We've had him in therapy and hes made some great progress. It was just a matter of finding the right dog therapist and the right combination of medication. We like to look forward and hope to enjoy our relationship with Ulic for years to come.
One thing my partner mentioned to me last night while we were sharing a bottle of Harvey's Bristol Cream while listening to the Clay Aitken album is that I forgot to tell you that our big puppy (he really is a big puppy at heart) should probably stay away from other dogs. We have a set of leather blinders for him so that he doesn't become distracted but if he happens to be in a park with other animals (dogs especially) he can become aggressive.
I, unfortunately, don't mean the type of aggressive that includes barking and snarling. Unfortunately his type of aggression they don't make a muzzle for and if they did I think that they would outlaw it in Texas. (A little humour there but I am serious, he can get a little scary)
Although he has been taught the difference between dogs and children he still doesn't know his own size and (unfortunately) brutal strength. This is why we cannot take him to breeder shows or let him watch any R-rated movies.
Anyhow, we don't believe it will be a problem.
Toodles.
hi there
