Costco's Angus Cheeseburger combo
Presto
05-22-2009, 02:40 PM
Has anyone had a chance to try out Costco's Angus cheeseburger? It comes with fries and pop for $5.99. I had one earlier this week, and I'm chomping down on one now. Besides being an awesome deal, it tastes really good, too. The patty is thick (around 3/4"), and the burger alone really fills me up. I like to load it up with onions.
I fully endorse this burger! I wish they sold the burger on it's own, but hey, this is Costco.

Saw it yesterday, but decided to just get the standard hot dog. Maybe next time I'll grab one of these...
I believe it's a 1/2 pound patty.

it's not bad for the price - drink fries and decent burger (when I say decent = value for dollar, ok quality)

they are, the frozen prime rib angus burgers that costco sells
being someone who works there, i get sick of looking at some of the foodcourt food, but the burger is undeniably a good deal, albeit a little lacking in the authentic "burger" meal (they don't look/taste as fresh as they ought to be)
otherwise, its fine to have one once in a while, just make sure you load it with onions and bbq sauce (little packets that come w/ chicken strips).
Not really racist!

Hows everything else in the food court?
Ice cream, fries, chicken strips, pizza, hot dogs etc.

It's Pretty good however they have taken out the ribs and fries from the menu in order to make room for it:( ..........

Honestly, Costco has to be up there in fast food type style food.
Everything that you listed is actually pretty good. There is no "bad choice" there.
I love the fries. They are pretty amazing.

Have had the burger twice and the patty is pretty plain and a little dry. The best things on their menu are the hot dogs and the Montreal smoked meatt

Wait wtf?
They don't serve the fries anymore?
Or is it just that they took it out of the menu at the top so they could have room to pormote the Angus Chesseburger Combo..

werd.
Poutine is pretty good for the price. Comparing it to shit from KFC/Church's etc for the same price, it's pretty dang good.
Question for the burger- condiments are self serve like for the hot dogs? Or are they already in there when it's served to you?

The ribs were not that good. Fat Burger is nothing great. I would put these in the same class as Fat Burger.

That's what I thought it would be, I prefer Vera's or Moderne burger anyways but that's about $15 for a combo. I really want to try the DB Burger at DB Bistro Moderne.

I like Vera's a lot more than Moderne. The Moderne burger tastes great but is quite small in comparison, and also costs a lot more. Plus Vera's has a larger variety of sides like yam fries and onion rings, instead of just regular potato fries.

the hot dogs are super awesome and a good cheap deal. I heard the poutine and montreal style smoked meat sandwich are good too. Ice cream is ice cream, can't go wrong. Also, one poutine=full day of calories and one hot dog=insane amoutns of fat...so yeah, up there with all the fast food place criteria!

A bit OT but I bought an "Angus" Burger with Cheddar at MCD the other day and I was totally disappointed with the food and shocked at the price.
$8.75 for a Angus Burger w/ Cheddar meal...Holy fuck! $9 for a damn meal at MCD...talk about expensive and the burger tasted bland and horrible as well... 2/10 :(

Harvey's burgers taste like fucking hot dogs..
the meat tastes exactly like your eating a plain old little schnieders weiner, it's fucking gross, it probably tastes like that cause they are so processed to get the "angus" apeal to them
i'd rather eat hot dogs than the so-called angus crap they have at McDonalds or Costco

trust me, if anything Harveys burgers are probably more processed then the costco ones, they way they taste just isnt right..

Nope.. you can just go in through the exit and bee-line to the food counter. It's even easier at the GM Place location, they have it right outside.

No you don't...
Even if the "official" policy is that you do, they don't care whatsoever. EVERYONE goes in the EXIT to go buy food... if they really cared, they would stop people, or check membership cards when buying the food.
I mean, the new Costco downtown has the food counter set up right by the street... looks pretty inviting for all passerbys.

Sure you can... just go through the EXIT. Have done it many times... even though I have a membership.

second that. they've never checked my card when I walk to the exit side which is where the food court is. Plus if the person at the door hassles you you could always bullshit and say your going to get a new card then you just walk to the food court when their not looking. Although you probably never need to do this.

The cheese looks like sweaty plastic.
Aged cheese often has that effect.
It is amazing how little people know about cheese when all they have seen and tasted are like crap cheddar, maybe havarti, swiss emanthall and nothing else.
Only the mass produced creamy textures and not the hard and sharp tastes.
