Alvin York should be number one and that write-up doesn't do him justice.
The mother fucker captured something like 300 Germans during 3 different events. After he came home from the war they awarded him with a Medal of Honor and for his bravery during combat they bought him a brand new home on a farm.
All that wasn't written in the write-up however.
