hey i spray painted some parts of my exterior flat black and i was wondering if theres a product out that that can protect it from chips. i put 5-10 coats on when i paint but it starts to chip after about a week on the hwy.

Did you scuff up the part that you were painting to help the paint stick to the surface?

What kind of prep work did you do prior to applying the top coat?

Did you properly prep and primer the surface before laying down the flat black?

lol no. i sprayed directly on the shiney fake chrome... just incase i didnt like the black. im gunna sand it down to the bare plastic and hope thats enough to prevent chipping. thanks yall

If you sand it all the way down you're going to get plastic and not chrome :) Unless it's metal.
