So as i was cruising around in my company truck, me and my co-worker passenger stopped off at the new Price-Smart foods to get some stuff for work.

as we parked we noticed an older Asian lady had tried to park her car (corolla or something), but her front passenger side bumper has bumped into a parked, smallish SUV. (Rear driver quarter pannel) and she couldnt figure out how to get her car unstuck.

the corolla's bumper was touching the tire and i guess it was gripping onto the car or something.

she gets out of the car and looks at it, meanwhile we are laughing quietly to ourselves and get out of our truck to go see if we can help.

she starts PUSHING on the corolla's front end in an effort to unstick it. i look away for a sec as we're walking over. I look back and to my surprise, it appears she had freed the car AND was pushing it out of the parking lot....

I was like WTF!!?? she can't be more than 80 lbs and she's pushing this car like its a toy....waitaminute...she isn't pushing it it pulling her!!!

SHE'S TRYING TO STOP A RUNAWAY CAR WITH HER BARE HANDS!!!

the corolla has its wheels cranked so its goin in reverse in an arc, meanwhile this poor lady is beeing pulled along in a circle towards a concrete wall.

My buddy shouts out "LET GO!" in cantonese as we race toward her. Of course she doesn't, and is now in danger of getting crushed between a car and a wall.

Stangely enough the reversing corolla doesn't hit a single car on the way out of the lot.

by the time we get close enough to grab her away, the car has made almost a complete circle and rolled onto the grass/sidewalk and towards the wall with about 2 feet between the wall and car with the lade in the middle.

i manage to dive through the driver window (thank god it was open lol) and pull the ignition and stop the car with my legs hanging out and the lady still holding the steering wheel from the outside.

Tah- DAHHH!

apparently when she got out to try to move her car she neglected to take the car out of reverse and pull the e-brake

I don't really have anything to add to this thread, but I will say that female Asian drivers are the worst. Also anyone defending Asian drivers (not male) in this thread saying they are good drivers are fucking idiots. Seriously.

I can't remember what I was trying to do (looking at the tires?), but I do recall stepping out of my car after putting it in D and releasing the e-brake. It proceeded to head straight for my parents' house! :blush:

Luckily I jumped back in to slam on the brakes before hitting anything.

went to drop off other car to get an alignment done. was told it takes an hour, didnt get a call till 2 hrs later. then was told alignment cant be done because 3 of the 4 tires need replacing and rear brakes need replacing.

i know the rear brakes need replacing, because i have the new brake pads sitting at home ready to be installed.

tires have a little camber wear on them, but had them flipped, and are no where near the wear indicator.

cho - sounds like you need to drive your car harder or you're only taking it on really short trips and not allowing the engine to get hot.

There was this one time me and some friends were at the tax building for peace arch, and while we were all outside I noticed my car slowly rolling back. 3 of us tried to stop the car from moving while another jumped to go for the handbrake :lol apparently my friend didn't shift it into park, rather he put it into neutral when he turned off the car. I always thought the keys were not supposed to come out unless it's in park. It was embarrassing, especially being infront of the tax building.

long time ago at a place i used to work, someone had parked in my designated staff parking space, so i had no choice but to park in one of the customer spaces instead. a few hours later this courier guy comes into our office asking if someone with this plate number worked here... it was my plate number. i go running out and this courier's POS vw fox had rolled down the service lane in a wide arc because he had parked it without setting the ebrake, missed about a dozen cars... except for mine.

$1600 damage and that crap fox didn't have a scratch :cry:
