So i picked up my computer (which i let ncix help build with the parts i gave them)
i get home.. plugged in my harddrive and dvd drive and video card and my monitor.
turned it on.. and NO INPUT SIGNAL shows up on my monitor!
what could be the problem??
... i need help asap.. this is getting on my nerves...

Oh, here's what i have from what i remember.

I don't think my monitor is the problem because its working right now (plugged into a laptop).
And everything up there that i posted was BRAND NEW except the psu.

Could be a lot of things.

Could be RAM... try booting up with just a single stick. Test both sticks individually.

Could be motherboard... something could be wrong with it... could be a short somewhere...

Could be video card... but if it was, you should still hear your computer sound like it's booting up normally...

yes i did turn the computer on.
there is no beeping noise.
all the fans work. there's power going everywhere.. lights are on.. just no beeping noise and no signal to the monitor..

You need to hear the single beep first. Without a beep there won't be any video output.

Monitor plugged into the right output? I remember when I first built mine i had the no input as well but then i looked closely and it was plugged into 2nd DVI output :p

yes. it's plugged into the proper output.
even if it wasn't.. i've tried everyone of them.. even the onboard output.

i do not hear a single beep coming from the system.. it could be the mobo or the cpu problem? but i did buy them brand new... damn.. this is so irritating.

did youchange the input on the monitor?
Many of the newer monitors have numerous inputs (like a TV).

so if you plugged it in as DVI, make sure your monitor is set on DVI input (or if you used HDMI, set the monitor to HDMI).

yes i'm sure the input is correct.
i guess i'll just have to bring it back to ncix and get them to fix it.. if not.. refund me my money.

it may be a bent pin ..check the end tip of both connectors ,

thank you everyone for your input.
i brought my machine to ncix to get it checked.. so my video card was fried somehow.. that's why i didn't have proper output.. also.. the guy helped me clear my CMOS so the onboard video output worked..
