Last time my buddy rented a keg I think it was from Granville Island. The deposit for the keg is probably going to be $100-150. Then you also need a deposit on the pump. The cost of the beer obviously depends on whether you go 30L or 50L.
So ballpark probably $125 keg deposit + $100 pump deposit + $150 beer.

Looks like you went to R & B Brewery (http://www.r-and-b.com/). They have some awesome beer for a microbrewery. Rick and Barry are great guys to do business with and their beer is always fresh. :)
You may also want to check this old thread out (http://www.revscene.net/forums/buying-kegsi-t190803.html?t=190803&highlight=beer) posted a while back for more details.

central city has NASTY beer though imo, like alot of my friends hated the sungod we had, and i actually enjoyed it, the central city brews are all pretty terrible, i tried them all one night when they had 4.50 pints or w/e
the cherry ones and the firetruck ale or w/e are especially bad.

i've always found kegs to be too much hassle for the benefits.

Any beer and wine should be able to get you a keg. I would stick with something from Labatts or Molson instead of a micro brew.

all labats and molson ones are hella expensive compared to local microbrews though
like a keg of bud is like 265 + deposits or somthing

That's pretty expensive and especially if you're not going to be enjoying it for the quality beer factor, it's just a waste of an extra $100. Microbrews, I find, are fresher and a lot more satisfying.
If you just wanna get drunk and don't mind shitty beer buy some Black Label.
