"The RCMP National Security Program in British Columbia is working with its Youth Advisory Council to hold this annual youth conference, Muslims of Tomorrow, with the objective of raising awareness on various issues effecting the Muslim community in Canada."
I'm apart of this group and wanted to bring awareness to this Conference. Its a good way of learning more about Muslims and what they represent. If your interested please visit the link below.

What they represent? Nothing, they're just like everyone else.
It's not like they're fucking special. But whatever.

Heh... I guess you don't go to SFU Surrey then... there's a room that we call the "Muslim" room where we generally work on our projects in. It was used for the Muslim studies course I believe...

Its called learning. You know learning of others and their religion. Expanding your knowledge outside of what you think you may know about Muslims.

Shouldn't it be affecting?

You could look at it that way. I see it as the RCMP saying that they don't paint Muslims in a bad light, and would like to show the positives of the culture.
My own thoughts that it should be up to all the various ethnicities to conduct their own PR however, and that government resources can be better spent elsewhere.
Educating Youth at this level about a contentious subject? Yeah, that's screwed up.
A youth group establishing a relationship with law enforcement? Yeah, that doesn't make sense.

For a moment there, I thought his was organized by the Muslim student Association at SFU (Burnaby). I had a few buddies in that club who were in that group. Lots of your good people in that group but also a lot of anti jewish sentiment that were raised by some members. Hell, one of my friend's groupmates went up to me and said "My religion permits me to kill infidels like you". My friend had to smack him up after saying that. :haha::haha:
FYI, the president back in the day lost his virginity to a hooker.

Just saying.. they're just like everyone else out there. Promoting a good faith based on morality and peace through good old fashioned killing and stupid hate mongering. It's nothing new.
Heres the difference. They view Jesus as the messenger of God. The end. Lesson learned.

I'm not muslim, but I am always open to learning about different cultures and religions. I don't let my beliefs get in the way of learning about others...
