			Nice find XL
I know of a few people selling some homes in the US. I will see if I can find pictures to add to this thread. Makes my building plans for 9000sq/ft seem pretty pathetic |

That's about the most impressive house I've seen. But it is too big. It would take too long to get anywhere. Want a midnight snack? 2 minutes to the kitchen.

Here is Asian XL's place http://www.luxuryrealestate.com/841386
I don't know why people are talking trash about the area. Have any of you ever been to Greenwich? It's a pretty nice place. There are a few neighborhoods, this one included, where a net worth of 10 million is considered weak. Very wealthy area and would put British Properties to shame. http://www.luxuryrealestate.com/650685
Too lazy to post the pictures. There are places all over the world like this. Most of the people who have these houses obviously have plenty of other homes around the globe and want to have something secluded and away from everything. Most of the people on RS are younger and only see the downtown living with a hot-tub in a penthouse.
You'll change your tune eventually It has already sold, but there was a sub-penthouse in NY for $75 million for those who are interested.
For large luxury homes the yearly cost is about 1-2% of the value of the home. The place I just posted the property tax is about $160,000 a year. Factor in a few full time staff, electricity and water bill, you're probably hovering around the 1% mark. Keep in mind at $100m, this is likely overvalued. This place has been for sale for a long time (over a year) and is probably worth closer to $80 million.

The house itself is nice but I can never justify living in that even if I had a shitload of money. There comes a point where too big is just too big.

You'd need security at all sections of the house. You could be in the kitchen and a bunch of thieves could be robbing the other end of the house and you probably wouldn't even know about it.

For the amount of effort it takes to earn $75 million, and to maintain the income, he's probably never even home to enjoy it.
