If you are a pregnant woman, it takes you freaking 9 months to give birth to a baby. 9 months of pain and suffering for 4000 chinese yuan (about $650 CAD)? I dont suppose you can just live off water for 9 months, you need food for the 9 months as well. This has to be a living baby too. Dead ones cost even less.
