You are trying to make a left turn. The light is green for turning left but red for going forward. The red car in front of you is hogging up a lot of space. I have seen this happen lots of time but never seen anyone honking.   |

Because you can just past on the left, red with green arrow so no cars coming, takes like 2 secs, honking is too much work

if there was a center curb I'd honk, if not I'd just drive around assuming there is no oncomming traffic. if the lineup was longer I'd still just drive around.

the other option would be passing on the right, and then going between the red and blue car into the turning lane

Why bother honking?
Are you really in that much of a rush? It'll be 30 secs before the light turns yellow/red and you can make your turn then.
Seriously, what is up with all these assholes who can't wait 30 secs and need to go there ASAP. If you're late, you're late. You should've left the house 5 mins earlier to accommodate travel time.

I wouldn't honk I'd just go around them on the left. If theres a median I drive half way on it to get around them, truck FTW.

i'd pass on the passing lane to get around first, if that didn't work id give a courtesy honk. it has nothing to do with being in a rush or late its the principle. and besides, there are days where people are late and its out of their control. we have enough frustration and road rage as it is, why be one to contribute to it because "its his problem he should have left earlier", that is a real simple minded reason.

because these people are oblivious to what's going on around them, making them a dangerous driver. they should always be aware of whats going on infont and behind them.
honking at them and making them look back might actually teach them to pay more attention in the future. although likely it'll do nothing to help as most people are too stupid.
