youtube is almost a partime job. if ur good enough, u can practically live off as being a youtube sponsored user. its 15 cents a visit. some of the more popular channels have 5 MILLION hits a video.

5000000 X 0.15 cents = $750 000 !!!!!!

where did you get that? i know you make a cut from viewers clicking on your ads, but i dont think you get straight $ for visits alone

i think you can make $ from visits...don't know the rev.split (probably depends on your channel) but probably around something like $2 per 1000 views.
i'd assume ppl like HotForwords or souljaboy have some special deal with Youtube/google.
