Used Gallardo

Used Gallardo in that range are usually 04's or 05's with high mileage and shit load of issues. I like the ZR1 but the interior is awful.

I beg to differ, I have friends who don't know anything about cars...they can't tell the difference between base Corvette and Z06.

So I guess most people can't tell the difference between base, Z06 and ZR1.

well I mean ya its limited but it still looks like a mass produced corvette ya know? The word exotic is debatable but I usually think of mid-engined cars with some exceptions.

Does Westport Motors look like a GM dealership to you? Good luck to the idiot that buys this thing to realize no warranty. Grey market import.

Let them stare... it's not as bad as being a celebrity... Lambo has just a lot nicer design and quality then corvette.

I'd drive one because the torque on that beast is amazing. It's already amazing on the Z06s.

Still haven't seen one on the road yet. I saw a fake one at a car shop by my office. Since the shop is on the bottom floor, i saw it go in as a C6, and a few weeks later, come out as a ZR1.. new f/r fenders, front bumper, and worst of all, with ZR-1 badges

in regards to attention the vette would get more attention, from girls as well, because of its iconic status. The datsun on the other hand is just another altima coupe with big wheels and german brakes. I dislike both cars.

It doesn't matter. The GTR is inferior.

Let's be clear here....you are the one saying the GTR is inferior, all I am saying is that the GTR V spec is not.....I am sure you have not driven either......

Oh dear. I'll refrain from quoting the sequence of posts so as not to confuse you with the facts.

At this point in time the ZR1 is a known entity. Same for the GTR. Both have been tested and reviewed extensively and comparisons can be made.

To my knowledge we do not have the benefit of these exhaustive tests and comparisons and reviews for the V spec.

Let's be clear here. I made a judgment based on documented tests and reviews. You made a judgment based on the paper spec-sheet and "claimed" performance that is the V spec.

"Well done you fat man from Kentucky" ha ha ha!! Awesome...

99% of you kids on here won't EVER have a Corvette or a Lambo... so keep dreaming. A used 300 series BMW is about as classy as you'll ever achieve in your lifetime.

achiam

I beg to differ, I have friends who don't know anything about cars...they can't tell the difference between base Corvette and Z06.

So I guess most people can't tell the difference between base, Z06 and ZR1.

But it can also be argued that at the high end spectrum of anything, only the people who "know" will know the difference.

I am sure 75% of the population doesn't know that an AMG S65 costs 3x more than the same bodied S350 or whatever the lowest S-class is in Canada.

The same logic goes that 99% of the population will not realize that a Piaget or DeWitt wristwatch with funny looking dials costs up to $500,000 CAD without gold or diamonds.

As a side note; if I were a car collector I probably would buy a ZR-1. Its much more obscure than a GT-R, and due to its rarity would likely hold its value more. The old ZR-1 was nuts; back in '93 it was already ripping 0-60 in 3.8 or something ridiculous like that.

Mancini
06-15-2009, 11:37 AM
Agree with achiam.

Another good example is the Murcielago. Most non-enthusiasts would not know the difference between it and the Gallardo.

zr1 corvette can hang with any exotic twice its price in a str8 line or in a circuit, ps. its very rare and its not produced every year, its a gaurnteed collecter car and near 640 hp and lighter than a z06 come on........ dont discount it cuz its not a ferrari this is a true american exotic.... light years ahead of a ford gt for less price.!

08-27-2009, 04:42 PM
also if u cant tell the difference between a z06 and a regular vette no offense u wasted your money cuz your not an anthusiast i know thats not how u spell it, but anyway the z06 from the front has a different hood with functional air vent, and its not noticable 2 the eye but its actaully wider and the rims r different the stance just looks way more aggresive.
