I need to get some resonators welded on to my X pipe for my Z.

Please recommend some shops that would cut and weld resonators onto my existing X pipe.

i dont know why everyone says muffler man. I've brought 2 cars there. Yes they're cheap, but terrible welds, they try to take short cuts like weld stuff when its still on your car. Not a shop i would return to.

^hmm, i will take that into consideration, I'm planning to bring it to overseas auto because they say they install it as well, and make the pipe, Excellent customer service, although I haven't brought my car in yet. Very helpful though.

Your best bet is probably Muffler Tech in PoCo. Although the owner, Ryan, is a bit of a cock, the work they do there is top notch. They've done exhaust systems on a few of my cars, and I've been 100% happy with each one.

You're in Surrey? Go see Butch at Butches Brake and Muffler on King George Highway. He does a lot of custom work I'm sure he could do whatever you want. He did my RX7 for me about 12 years ago and been going to him ever since. He also did the side mounted exhaust on my dads race car.

If you're looking for someone who deals in cash under the table he isn't the guy though.

Depends, they know me and are always good to me. The thing I like about butches is he doesn't do work that doesn't need to be done to run up the bill. Thats not to say there aren't other good shops out there, Newton Auto care is actually really good as well. The owner Ken is super nice and very honest, hard to find shops like that now a days.

Quiet Muffler and Brake on Kingsway.
They do a good job but if you're heading there might as well
go to muffler man a block away

I had my exhaust done at Butch's about 5 years back and I was very well taken care of and the pricing was decent too.

i bought my cat off ebay a magnaflow for 45. then they installed it for me for 55. i think its a good deal for a magnaflow plus install. i went around to like lordco and such and they priced me 130 for the cat.

im also looking for a shop that can weld a new flexpipe onto a DC Header which makes hissing sounds.. which is pretty annoying.

ill give mufflerman a try and see how that goes, thanks.

I wanted to bump this thread up if anyone else has some shops in Surrey they can recommend. I plan on calling a bunch tomorrow for price quotes.

Butchs did a great work on my exhaust... at first he said he will finish my work in 3hours, ended up 6hours, but only charged me 3hours. Very good service.

Sorry to bump an old thread.

Previous threads seem to suggest either Muffler Man in Burnaby or Hoelger at Landsdowne. Are they still holding the same quality and price levels?

Did you have to book an appointment? Do they open on Saturdays?

My exhaust is easy, just a bolt-on axleback.

Lol @ Butch's. I hear they do great work but their customer services is complete garbage.

+1 I had to custom fit my exhaust on as theres none for my cat, so I bought a muffler and let them re-pipe to 2.5inch, and then good work! I got another muffler and returned to them, good customer service!! Don't be an ass, they won't be an ass!

Fuuuu. The exhaust I brought Hoelger doesn't fit. Now it's going to cost me triple to do custom work.

The black guy seems like he know his shit. But it's the owner doing my work. :(
