Ok, so I have this problem where iTunes says I can't burn music without a type of hardware. So I'm guessing I need Nero. But then I want to burn some movies onto a disc and watch it on my TV. I don't know what I need to do that. I either need a program to burn DVDs or a new/another CD drive that can burn DVDs.

From this information, can you please tell me if I can burn or not burn DVDs. And If I can't, what do I need. (Burning software or a new CD drive)

Not much information that I can give but these.

- I bought the tower case from best buy, pre-built in 2008.
- The cover in front of the CD drive says: LightScribe DVD SuperMulti Drive/ CD-Writer.

If there is any other information I can give, just ask me and...guide me on how to find it.

Please and thanks.

PS: I'm pretty sure I can burn CDs, but it seems like iTunes won't let me. Do I have to install nero or something?

Fuck it just get Nero and your set. I think I remember Itunes being able to burn cd's (could totally be wrong) but since you also want to burn movies onto a disc to watch on your TV you must download a separate program anyways so might as well get Nero.

You need to buy a DVD or CD writer. Depends on what type of disc you want to burn, but you can't burn anything with just a normal CD reader. Check your CD drive to see if it supports burning CD/DVD's.

your burner can burn DVD's, and CD's, as well as Lightscribe the disks. iTunes, is a horrible piece of shit, which you shouldn't use anyways. does your computer not come with Roxio or something? take a look at the autoplay menu when you pop in a blank CD and see what it says.

I actually tried to burn a video onto a DVD-R. Did not work. When I used Nero Express 8 and went to their Video burner thing, I only have two recorders, and both of them are for CD-R/RW. So I'm guessing either I'm using the wrong program or I actually don't have a DVD burner.

LightScribe DVD SuperMulti should mean that it burns just about everything though. can it read DVD's?
