: Stupid Vandalisms

Okay i am so pissed off right now.
My integra got egged 2 times in 2 days.

The first time got egged was 2 nights ago from 1am-10am.

The second time was last night at 1am where i heard a loud BOOM and my alarm went off. I thought someone shattered window or something so i ran outside but no one and nothing was in sight other than egg shells on my hood, windshield, hatch and the ground. Egg yoke and shit was running down my hood, rear window, side etc so i cleaned it off on the spot.

It was pretty hard to get off so i was pretty pissed. Saw some chip marks, swirls and white stains that i could not get off. So i read that only way to fix this is re-paint.

I called the cops, but they said they couldn't do anything. Well the paint is messed up so i am planning to report to ICBC.

Is egging covered under ICBC? I have comprehensive coverage but i wonder what will they say when i tell them im reporting because my car got egged.

yes. if you have vandalism coverage. my dad's work van was egged a few years back and he claimed it with icbc, and he had to pay the deductible for an $800 repair (one front fender and hood). it left these circular dotted rings radiating from the point of impact, along with the staining from the yolk splatter. it happened in the middle of the night so it had lots of time to dry on the van :(

You should park it in the same spot and wait for these guys to come back in your house, holding a shotgun, and then chase them the fuck down!

Yeah. My car got egged the whole car all around. I have these drip marks in yellowish color that looks like my clear coat was over sprayed. =(

Can ICBC people see the damages done by the eggs? Im afraid they might say "thats from regular oxidation and aging" then im screwed.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck =(

But to answer this question, ICBC should see the damage. My car got egged a few years ago. The paint on my car was 10+ years old, and ICBC wasn't hesitant or anything to allow me to paint the panels, as long as I paid the deductable. Actually the inspector was quite nice about it. One of the eggs actually hit my taillight, left very minor fine scratches (which I did not even notice if not for the inspector), they even reimbursed me for that in the end.

ooooh yeah. paint dosen't age with the tree-ring type of damage my dad had. and the egg yolk trail on a dark blue finish was kind of obvious... unless there are birds out there who can crap horizontally with that kind of equivalent force :o

wait until they egg your house. :(

I have to put up security cameras.... eggs, paint ball guns, ringing the door bell.

I almost caught them with my Pilot on my way home and almost run them over. That gets me more eggs in return.

fucking punks. It's going to get worse in the summer....

Wow..... so many eggings..... I'm a little bit sketched out now because I've been leaving my windows an inch down to help with the heat.

I can't imagine that any of these little fuckers own cars themselves... I'd be shit scared of karma.

I bet a good detailer could restore the paint.

You'd loose.. lol jk.
But really, the egg shells are like glass, it will chip your paint to the primer coat or deeper.

I know, i've fixed cars that has been previously been egged. No polish or wet sand could hide anything that's not even there (clear/base paint).

I say if they hit 2 times already, keep an eye out. Maybe they will be back.
