Holy Shit!!! I bet those plates cost more than the car
A good condition Supercharged model still goes for $10k but that one isn't... Because it's JDM, it's automatically worth half and because it's not supercharged, I'd say $2500 tops..

06-20-2009, 03:41 PM
yeah the car can only be worth so much, but those plates prolly go up in value, shit LL 888 all those rich Lais, leungs, lams, etc. out there will definitely be after that shit
sigh, you guys and no respect for the mark 1 mr2's...
its a legend.
exterior looks pretty nice, interior looks decent for a car thats what 20-25 years old? engine works, it looks like crap cuz of the salt sea air and humity in HK...
you'll diss the mr2 but drool over an ae86 or even an s13 thats in even worse condition?

My friends dad and a ton of his friends are importing these from japan to HK and tracking them, seems like it'd be fun, they are a bunch of ferrari/supercar guys though, so they've got money to burn

what a dirty old car. it doesn't even have projector lights. crappy pics too, they're so blurry i cant even tell what car that is. i'm definitely not considering these pictures as wallpaper material. nope, not me.

The interior on this aw11 is totally above average. 7-8 out of 10 is what I'd give it. Obviously, none of you nancy boys have every owned a 20+ year old car to know how hard it is to locate and maintain such an old vehicle.
But the engine bay is totally wtf. Needs a thorough cleaning and repainting on the valve covers.

^see the interior on my 22 year old car!
but then again this ain't HK obviously
and I don't see anything wrong with the interior on this AW11, looks good to me
Just a bit dusty, but nothing a 2$ microfibre cloth can't pick up in <10 mins
lol even those little fogs are HID!!!

are those actually HIDs or is it just the problem with the picture? the first few pics, they seem to be nothing more than halogens, while as the photos when it is outside the tunnel appears to show HIDs

I must be missing something here, first off, I see no pictures of the engine bay, and second, its a nice car.

Bloody incredible and classy. Thanks!
I miss mine.
Not digging the 2-tone color though. The pictures are pretty crisp.

They're HIDs. It's just white balance and incorrect metering.

yeah Even here, Hid kits cost only 100ish
I bet in HK they're even cheaper, so I don't see y you wouldn't get it

Because HID kits are for inconsiderate tools who don't respect other motorists on the road. Or, occasionally, their own safety... :lol

although on something as small and low as an MR2, the blinding won't be as bad

why is everyone dissing the interior? the last aw11 i saw here had more duct tape than cloth/plastic holding things together on the inside

exactly. torn up seats, cracked dashes, smashed up and broken climate control panels are all common place in a 20+ year old Toyota.

maybe it's because i've never really owned a new car... i mean even the steering wheel is original :o
and yes i know that car should have been detailed for pics of that level of detail, but for a daily driver of that vintage it's in super condition... using water to wash a car isn't cheap in HK. my cousin has to run out in the street and throw a bucket of water over hers and hope for the best because there is no such thing as parking in your driveway with a hose where she lives :(

These cars in good condition are extremely hard to come by nowadays =( I wish I had gotten one when I had the chance. That being said I wish the owner did clean up some of the interior for the photoshoot, it does indeed look dusty!

That car is full of win.
Those posting negative comments are either too ignorant to know better or too young to care.
