Hey sorry for the blunt use of the term for the subject title, i shall refer to "dump" with the proper medical term: "stool".

Anyways, I had a bowel movement just now (took a dump) and I noticed that after my stool hit the water, the water started fizzing up like in a carbonated drink. Just wondering if this means anything, or if its a sign of bad health?

I got really close to it to smell it but i didnt smell anythign because it was underwater and i didn't have gloves so i couldn't extract it and take samples for examination

the toilet didn't have anybody elses dump in it, if thats what your saying. but under normal circumstances, i wouldn't take a dump if somebody elses dump was in the toilet before me. anyways, to get to the point, the toilet was completely clean before i did my business on it

nope, it was probably at least 2 days since it got cleaned. the toilet isnt used much, but it definitely had no chemicals in it.

i know its not normal for toilet water to sparkle and fizz after taking a dump. does this not happen to anyone else? although ive never done anything gay or had anal sex, could the sparkling toilet water mean i have an STD?

i took your advice and i know that day i didnt eat anything unusual. however, recently i began drinking pop to see if that can make my stool fizz the toilet water but it doesnt work. i also tried (serious) pouring in 7up in the water to see if it gets the same effect as the time i took a dump and made the water fizz, but the 7up didnt really have as much "fizz" effect as my dump did that day.

i tried eating a lot of healthy foods and noticed it plopped out a lot easier, clean pinch. i also tried eating junk foods and it was softer, not a clean pinch (had to wipe a lot of times).

anyone have any ideas what couldve triggered the fizz?

I just finished an episode on House (season 3, episode 22) and this vegan patient complained that his stool were 'floating'. House says the guy is cheating by eating a greasy burger. The undigested fat in the food caused the stool to float.

Now the fizziness made me wonder if you had refried beans. I am thinking you had tons of microwaved burritos.

you mentioned the toilet hadn't been used for a couple of days...maybe it was b/c the water was warm or idle too long? b/c of that anything introduced to the water could cause bubbles, try it with a cup of water..or maybe the toilet

hey guys just an update for you all. ive been carefully monitoring my bowel movements and have not noticed anything unusual so far. however, on a side note, i do notice that when i eat fast food, the poo doesn't pinch off as cleanly as it would if i were to eat healthier.

i think its safe to say that the water fizzing was just an isolated incident. however, i will keep you guys posted next time something unusual happens.
