I'm burning whats suppose to be a 1 Disc DVD, but IMG burn (the program im using) says it won't fit on one disc.

What can i do to split it to 2 discs?

i'm assuming it's a movie dvd? dvdfab is your new friend.

dvd remake... take off some warnings off and stuff you dont want
clonedvd take off more stuff you dont want plus strip audio you don't want

then it will fit on one dvd5
