Hey guys i just recently picked up a 03 RSX-s and noticed i have a lil mugen sticker on the gauge cluster. So now im kinda worried cause im thinking the cluster has been replaced... So my question is unlike the regular rolling dial of an older car will the electronic display stay somewhere in the computer or will it carry from cluster to cluster like older vehicles? Im sure this is not a problem on this vehicle but for some reason i cant stop thinkin about it since i cant find history of aircare on the website. What are some other ways to check milage records cause carfax isnt really up to date either. TY TY

no oem mugen cluster from honda..... unless the previous owner changed overlays.

Is the mugen logo INSIDE the cluster? or on the plastic?

The mileage is stored with the cluster, so if they swapped it out, it technically is a false reporting of the milage.

you never know... people open the stock ones up etc... post a pic?

if go to the dealership they can check it for you... just explain them what do you want and tell them that you suspect scam! So basically if you change cluster the main board computer still keep counting the mileage, i don't see the problem checking the original mileage through main board ecu!

Mileage is not stored on the ecu, so they won't be able to check.

Is this why all the JDM cars have less than 100,000 kms?

no...because they don't drive to much and it's really small town and country...

i think it depends on cars...because I used rebuild car from icbc and i still have some phone numbers where the guy can come and change your mileage but he says it is always can be revised to original!

ok, when you change the ownership, isn't there a document that asks you to check "odometer replaced/rolled back" section?
one that ICBC or Autoplan gives you? Did you check that?

my point is, can you sue the previous owner if he/she lies?

no...because they don't drive to much and it's really small town and country...

maybe it's just their weather, nothing JDM at 80,000km is as nice as a local one with 80,000km. Fucked up interiors mostly.

I actually went to a body shop that the previous owner had work done at and checked old repair history. Checks out that there is only a 10000k difference so im sure its fine especially since the milage is quite low anyways. Here is a pic of the cluster ( Iphone cam FTL)
