: Any better mac messenger?

I just recently bought a macbook and so far everything's good. The only downside to it right now that I'm kinda annoyed about is the mac messenger. It sucks... it can't send and receive offline messages and a couple more functions like nudge and share folder so I'm wondering if all those expert mac users could help me out. Is there a better mac messenger available? Thanks!

I use Adium, you can customize everything. The downside is that there's no webcam support and nudge. It's better than mac messenger in my opinion :thumbsup:

+1. Fully customizable, and you can use different chat platforms with it, yahoo, gchat, msn, facebook, etc.

I don't use the webcam feature a lot on regular MSN, so it's not a big deal.
Nudge is just annoying.

I would use skype for audio/video chat.

I've been using Mac Messegner for a long while now. I'm going to give this adium a try. Thanks for the suggestion!

Open Adium, Click your current Display picture, then "Choose Icon"

really? was the closest thing to real Windows Live I could get for Linux and it worked great. still had that "web messenger" temporary solution kinda feel though.
