| Opinion needed: Where is the best?
Hey guys,
I know this is probably a question that has been asked previously but I need some advice. I have a honda accord 2007 and I have been wanting to get an upgrade in the audio department. (For those of you that are familiar with this Accord, it will definitely need a custom job the cubby hole will almost certainly have to be used as the slot for the new head unit)
Now, this does not have to include speakers at this point in time. I am mainly looking for a head unit that I can also plug my ipod/iphone into.
I am in the process of doing some research but can anyone suggest me a good place to do my shopping and installation? Which shops do you guys trust to do a good job?

I got two words for you;
SoundsGood Auto
The team there is fantastic. They are a sponsor of Revscene and treat their clients well. They will take care of you. I(as well as lots of other people) can vouch for their work done. Everyone that I have sent to them has had a positive experience and I'm sure you will too!

But yes, we have done dozens of these cars from mild to wild so I am sure we've got something that'll work great for you at a more than reasonable price.

Thanks a lot guys, those were some quick responses!
I took a look at your website and saw that you were closed today but I might be able to come by tomorrow to just get some advice and maybe a quote. Have you done many 2003-2007 Honda Accords? I know the cubby hole is a little bit of a mess since it isn't flat surface.

There are other solutions as well that we can discuss. Advice is always free!

Awesome. Do you have any pictures of prior setups with Accords of those years? I just want to get some ideas of how it would look like.

search up v6p
for double din the best thing to do is to get a lower deck attachment
part number 08B06-SDA-100 that's for 03-05 I think 08B06-SDA-101 is for 06-07
then you can get sounds good to install the rest for you. They have the audio harness that will make the stock radio still work (display wise no sound of coarse)
I've done a lot of research for this already and gave up. It ends up to be quite a bit and its too expensive for me
btw if you want a clean setup. under the trunk where the spare tire is there's exactly 6.5 inch of space for you to have a sub, I already fabed a box with a Pioneer Shallow mount sub for that space and sounds great! Throw out the spare!

That's awesome, thanks dude! I was just looking for that part. I was originally thinking that a single din would be appropriate but I like the look of a double din a lot more if it can fit with the attachment.
I doubt that I will go with a sub for now. I think I can live with a new head unit and speakers for the time being and go from there if it is not to my liking. How much did you estimate your work to be for?
I went and talked to Mike today at Soundsgood. Great guy and he was very informative. Thanks for the advice guys. Quote:

Mike did a flip out video install for me in my accord 03 coupe years ago. you can buy a kit that fits in that cubby thing.
After my screen got stolen i went to stock for a while and then i bought a metra kit that replaces the stock accord head unit and climate controls.
I did this because the stock unit got messed up and honda wouldnt replace it because warranty had expired.
Now i have a pioneer flipout dvd player and it doesnt look all that bad.

I can also recommend CarTunes in Coquitlam, and Automotion in Port Coquitlam. They will do quality installs for sure.

Went to Soundsgood today to get my deck and speakers installed. I have to say, the service provided and the calibration of the system was even beyond my expectations. The install looks great and better yet, it sound just blew me away.
I don't know much about car audio at all but Mike and his crew were accommodating and you can tell that they know what they're doing. Thanks for the advice and all the help dude! I'll definitely come back for installs in the future (ie. amp... and dare I say it, sub?)
