This is a serious topic. I wanted to get some professional photos taken of my car sometime in the summer, and I wanted a model along with it. Question is, how much is the norm for hiring a model for a photoshoot? Also where should I inquire for them?

there are websites that host information for hiring models.

if you are unfamiliar, you can always ask one of the promoters that hire models on a regular.

top of my head, blitzgear, blackbox media, whitebox photography...

you can also post in the RS photolab. plenty of photographers that have connections to models.

Could always try the model mayhem site. One of my friends who's a photographer uses models from there for most of his shoots. Not sure what they charge though.

Model Mayhem is a site for individuals to meet and etc. so newbies will prob do it for free as long as they get a copy of the pictures.

a model agency is probably better than model mayhem. Trust me because I have been through this.

Thanks all, I will try the Photolab section of RS.

Rikaro: Why is that, if I may ask? I just spent sometime on that site... It doesn't seem that bad.

Boostaholic: It's for a NSX

Model Mayhem isn't a bad place to look

A lot of models there will be happy to do 'Time For-' (TFP, TFCD) for the payment, so basically as long as they get a CD with a copy of all the pics, or prints they can add to their own portfolio and use to promote themselves, they're happy

You benefit from each others abilities, It's win win

Girls don't usually add anything to a car photo unless done very well. The photo will either be more focused on the female, or the car, depending on the photographer. Worse case is it wrecks the entire photo.
