Try Windsor Meats on Main & King Ed. Is this personal or for an event? They're usually pretty cool about sponsoring community/not for profit events. I work in their area so they always help us out but I'm not sure about outside their community.
i called winsor packing, a bosa foods, red ribbon wholesale, beefway, and will be calling freybe's tommorow.
this is for the rs summer meet event.

buy your own meat and make your own
make it with love!
i dont know about you, but:
1) i dont have enough love to make an order of 500+ hotdogs
2) people really dont want to know that its made by me, nor with the words "with love" in it, especially in the same sentence as my name
3) ppl have to eat this
buy your own meat and make your own
make it with love!

Right.
Having that many cars....
In downtown...
Where there is already a packed core full of shitty drivers and terrible parking...

try Freybes?
my uncle's company had a huge bbq last year and they called Freybes

Rio Meats on Hastings and Nanaimo, they make all their own sausages so they can definitely custom make an order for you.
called freybes, they dont do hotdogs, they do everything else sausage but not hotdogs.
havent called neptune yet.
international house of sausage (no its not a gay club) does european sausages, so no to hot dogs. the cost is too much
have not asked ferry markets, nor amron's, chances are these are retailers and im trying to find a wholesaler, cuz im ordering such a large quantity, and because i want wholesale pricing.
its bad enough that the economy is hitting rs too, but because we plan on offering the hotdogs free, as we have through previous years, we are trying our best to feed 500 ppl. now if this was rs back in year 1, that wouldnt be an issue as probably 50 hotdogs would have covered it.
from what ive gathered from calling around, no meat shop makes hotdogs. its not in their interest to make something so simple. so they rather just import them. thats what im trying to do, find the importer, the wholesaler.

I dont see why not we could just tokyo drift and shut down 4 blocks square radius to japadog. If the critical mass people can do it dont see why we cant.
Right.

maybe HY Louie, Tom Yee? The Wholesalers on Malkin Avenue?? There's also a local grocery...Banana Grove on 22nd/Slocan..they have a deli, maybe ask them if they can hook you up. Their deli is hella busy and they have good turn over so they might have some sources, family owned place I think
