most optomitrist places should be able to get u some made. if they make sports safety glasses, i dont see why not csa ones.

I know oakley makes prescription squash goggles, as well as hockey visors, so maybe try like an Iris who is a oakley retailer/dealer that also does prescription stuff

o man im -5 i got thick ass glasses and im tired of having to wear my safety glasses over my prescriiption ones and i cant use my contacts because time to time i do some welding and i wouldnt want the contacts to melt on to my eyes
oakleys seems kinda expensive but i could write them off because its for school?

Are you looking for welding goggles or just safety googles??
Oakley M-Frame with clear prescription lens awesome combo. Make sure its the clear lens with the CSA/ANSI rating for safety.

Don't worry, you're not going to melt your contacts from an arc flash.

You can't blindly listen to everything your instructors say. I guarantee you they only heard the stories from someone else. I weld with contacts all day without a problem. But don't take my word for it either, 2 mins to Google search will give you many more sources debunking this myth.
