| Mounties in Burnaby search for MISSING student from CHINA
BURNABY (NEWS1130) - Burnaby RCMP are asking for your help to find Siya Wei, she also goes by the name Sylvia. She left her Burnaby home at around 11 a.m. Thursday and has not been heard from since. She is a visiting student from China and her friends are concerned for her well being.
The 29-year-old has long black hair, brown eyes and wears glasses. She is around 160 centimetres tall and weighs 46 kilograms. If anyone has seen her or has information about her whereabouts please contact the Burnaby RCMP at (604)294-7922.

"student" - more like illegal immigrant here under false pretenses - she's probably not missing, just 'disappeared' on her terms (i.e. to stay here indefinitely, probably under a different name, seen it far too many times to care anymore)
if i got lost in china, would the chinese police spent government money to find me? doubt it...

Chinese don't bother trying to hide here for citizenship no more. Most of them already have good living in their home country. You ask some Chinese folks in China, they tell you they don't want to immigrant.

According to the Chinese news station, this girl flew back to China on Thursday without notifying her friends in Vancouver. her friends panicked when they couldnt reach her and notified the police.
She is now in China with her family.
