NEW SIGN UPS but I am pretty sure if u try hard enough you can get some deals. My co-worker was able to get cheaper cable package and free HD PVR for 6 months and can purchase it for 50% off after. NOTE all HD PVR is refursished.

Sent this to a buddy, he called, they need a promotion code which is cut off at the bottom. And you have to be a current Novus customer

Ur buddy is weak. I just got my SHAW bill reduce by almost 50% and free rental HD PVR for 6 months and I can buy it for 50% off retail price. Just have to nag them and nag them. I pretty say told them I was with themf or 10+ years with no promo and now this offer came. You guys are giving this to new customer at below cost while the rest of us are paying for this promos. And I ask the CSR do u think this is fair for us loyal customer? Do you want us to all go somwhere else? I also mention that there are 4 adults in the household and we can all disconnect services and sign up with a new name every 4 month to take advantage of your new customer promo which in turn will give more work for you guys to do?

After a rough 40mins call I got my deal :D

NOTE: As far as I can see with the 2 page promo flyer (first page have ur address only so for my friend's privacy reason I didn't post it). So there are no promo code or anything. Shaw Rep was BSING ur buddy.

that was bold and blunt, ahaha, and that tactic worked on them.
will give them a call today.
i might just ask for this deal, then ask for a 50% PVR after the 10 months.

Is the $9.95 for first 10months including PVR rental? Or just the subscription?

Man, there is never a way for existing customers to get a deal on the HD PVR.

The only thing i got from Shaw is that they will give you credit for your regular HD box to buy a PVR.

cable:
2 hd pvr rentals - $39.90
classic cable - $58.95
movie central or super channel - $16
hd plus - $9

phone:
digital phone - $55

internet:
high-speed - $33
xtreme-i add-on - $10

i'd say it would cost around.. $221.85/month

and yes, i'm pretty sure this offer is only available for customers who are currently subscribed to novus

did you guys do this through #3 (the cancel option), or changes to internet and tv (option 2)?
I tried last night and the 6mos promo has "expired" in words of the CSR.

just an update on this...

I'm well into my 3rd month now, and every month prior i've been getting bills for $100-200-300 or so

and I keep phoning them every month to tell them i'm supposed to have it free for the first two months, and $20 (internet/cable) thereafter.

I just got ANOTHER bill today stating that i have $100+ to pay for, and that my services would normally be $200+

Guess i'm phoning them later in the day... those fuckers.
