I see all these pretty cheap USB HDTV receivers in Hong Kong and I am thinking of buying one.
right now at home I am using plain Shaw Basic Cable + Chinese channels + High Speed internet. I am using a couple years old digital receiver for one tv (for the chinese channels) and all the other tvs are directly connected to the cable, with no digital receiver. One of my frds told me that you dont need to pay for Shaw Hi Def to receive it, you just need to buy the ~$500 receiver and then you can receive a couple HD channels.
Is my frd correct??
Would the USB HDTV receivers from Hong Kong (various brands) work in Vancouver?? Does it act like those Shaw HD Receivers so that it receives the free HD channels???
Would the HDTV receiver boxes (ones that just plug into the tv without the need for USB or a computer) from Hong Kong (various brands) work in Vancouver??
