Hey Guys, figured I'd ask here since you probably know better than the people that live in the city.

I'm looking for a good hotel for my gf and I for 2, maybe 3 nights, in Vancouver for August 12th, 13th, and maybe 14th (but probably just two nights).

Any suggestions for something with a decent location that has parking? Doesn't have to be spectacular, just nice with a decent, relatively central location. It'd be nice to be able to walk places from the hotel, but I'll have my car there so it's not a dealbreaker.

Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks.

www.priceline.com
Click on the "Name Your own Price" and enter a bid.

I have never used it in the summer so it might not be as cheap, but give them a try. Everytime we go to van we use that site. You basically put in a bid for around $90 and end up with a $200 hotel room. They never give you a peice of crap either. I think hotels started doing it when the recession started and their business was way down.

Hotels Combined (http://www.hotelscombined.com/City/Vancouver.htm?a_aid=13449)

I've used them before and got a great rate at the Pan Pacific, super nice rooms and amazing views! I've also stayed at the Hyatt Regency, good location right in the middle of downtown.

Well rather than chance it, on the independent and unsolicited recommendation of a surprising number of people, I ended up booking a couple nights at the Blue Horizon through hotels.ca for a good rate, and it's right downtown.

I'll keep both those sites in mind though, thanks guys.

Blue Horizon is quite good... and the location is superb.
