The Vancouver police have issued a warning to the public after a 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted near East 5th Avenue and Woodland. It happened around 2:30 Tuesday morning.

The girl was riding on a bus when a man got on board and sat down beside her. Constable Jana McGuinness says he threatened her with a weapon, told her to get off the bus, then led her down an alley behind some apartment buildings where the assault took place.

her aunt was so sick, the girl had dinner with her and left at 10. The aunt couldn't drive and her parents were working night shift. She took the wrong bus to Port Coquitlam, no one could tell her which bus will take her home. She wandered around until 1:00am finally found a bus back to vancouver. When the bus arrived E van, it was already 2:00am......

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Vancouver Police are warning women to be on the lookout for a sexual predator in the area of Grandview Highway and Kaslo Street.

That's where a 43-year-old woman was followed by a man who grabbed her from behind and sexually assaulted her around eight last night. Police say a man driving by saw the assault and chased the suspect off.

The suspect was a dark skinned man, 25 to 30-years-old, 5’11’’, with a medium build, was clean shaven with bad teeth. He was wearing mostly black clothing. Police would also like to talk to the Good Samaritan who helped out because he might be able to give them more information about the attacker. Anyone with information is asked to contact the VPD Arson Squad at 604-717-2541 or Crime Stoppers

At that age, everyone's parents here would be calling and out looking for their child as early as 10pm or 11pm at the worst. Even if a parent had an early day the next day, I'm sure everyone's parents, or if eveyone here were to be parents themselves would drive any distance to retrieve their child.
