smooth top stove

Does anyone have one? Just recently bought one recently, but it seems like it takes forever to preheat both the oven and the element as well. Its over 50 mins and it still says pre-heat.

Anyone else have this issue? Or do I have a faulty one?

Has anyone dealt with warranty stuff with Trail Appliance?

Arent the elements supposed to be faster? There's one in my house and they seem to get hot pretty quick. And whenever using the oven I usually cook with convection.

Mine works fine and preheats very quickly. 50 mins? Either defective or you bought a cheap oven

That doesn't seem right at all, should heat up faster then coil burners.

It SHOULD heat up faster than the coils... 50 mins is way too long.

are you 'pre-heating' the oven or the element?!?

if its taking 50 mins to pre-heat the oven then there is something wrong, if your referring to the element, make sure you have a pot on it first.

I dunno what you consider a cheap stove, it was around $700 Whirlpool. Not top of the line stuff, but decent enough for an average family.

I was referring to pre-heating the oven, but there is one element (dual zone) that takes forever too.

We'll give Trail a call tomorrow and get them to replace it (hopefully it won't be a pain)

Thanks for confirming this for me, guys.

I have one and it's great for boiling water etc. They're really good to use and cleaning is easy with a scour, I don't have the oven though...

Trail has great service so far for me at least

Definitely sounds like faulty one that I have. Anyway, The manager there said that doesn't sound right at all, and will be sending out a service technician out this coming Wednesday...hopefully it'll get resolved.
