: does different types of alcohol get you drunk differently?

what the question above asks.

is there a difference in the feeling when you're loaded on whiskey or vodka or beer or wine etc? or are they all the same?

When you're drunk you're drunk regardless what you drink cause at the end of the night they'll all be the same. I'll be talking to my friend the toilet bowl at the end of the night. Not because I throw up in it but because I actually talk to it.....pretty sad...lol

And in answer to that... it depends on the person, but for me, I find different alcohols definitely affect me at different rates (not necessarily related to the proof) and induce different feelings/sensations... like, wine tends to get me lightheaded, while vodka coolers get my head spinning... but after enough, drunk is drunk.

Cheap wines are nasty for hangovers, because they're loaded with nitrates. Mixing different booze is the worst for getting you praying to the porcelain god, because it forms a nasty churning shitmix in your stomach. Last new year's, I was doing alright drinking nothing but martinis (it was a martini-themed party)... then I made the mistake of having a coffee with Bailey's. I could feel that shit curdling within minutes, and it was barely 10 minutes later it was all looking for the quickest way out.
