just moved into a new house.. tenents upstairs using shaw cable, they split 1wired signal downstairs, comming directly from their router.
my question is is it possible to take this signal and connect it to another wireless linksys router? i have 2 laptops in my house and want to use wifi..

any help would be apreciated

Yes, you can. Plug that wire feed into your router's WAN port, so they can't h4x0r your machines.
