You have many, many more (and cheaper) choices down south .. especially in Portland..

G/L in finding one though! I've driven one at a Testdrive event @ Science World, and the C6 is definately a beast!

This was on vancouverfbody

2001 Chev Corvette

Black Exterior
Black Interior
Z51 Suspension
Every power option
Heads up Display
Glass and Painted roofs
90k miles on body, 10k on modifications below. Originally a cali car, drove back with no problems

Asking $27k CND, has about that much just in parts. You wont find anything cheaper at this level with a car that with decent tires should be in the 10s.. Comparable to a 6 speed car (my last car was a 800hp vette) this is a blast to drive so I wouldn't discount it based on being an auto. It's tame like a stock car til you get into it.

Mods:

New Built 402 motor w /blower head/cam package
Moderate tune and boost 570rwhp 540rwtq very stable, but extremely powerfull!
Vortech V-2 Supercharger
Willwood 6 piston front and 4 piston rear brake kit
Long tube LG headers
60lb motron injectors
Ls6 intake
20x11 rear/19 front ZO6 Motorsport wheels
Z06 3.42 rear end
Built RPM lvl 5 tranny w/2800 stall
Billyboat exhaust
Wolf car cover
Gauge pod with boost and fuel pressure
Upgraded larger radiator
Upgraded Fuel system
Oil cooler built in rad
External Transmission cooler installed

Drive it back to back against something like this and see if you still want a vette:

Guy just wants a vette, no point in trying to sell him on other things.

They really are awsome cars.

What other people said is true though, if you get one in the states you'll save yourself alot of money.

I think you'd save more than $2k and honestly since it is American made it wouldn't be too bad with duties/taxes.

Figure an 05 for $27,000 USD + exchange (~10%) + GST/PST + Excise + RIV fee + Inspection

= $33,800. I don't think you can find C6's in Canada for low 30's but I'm not super familiar with the market.
