BURNABY (NEWS1130) - RCMP say a pipe bomb was located in a parkade at the southeast corner of Metrotown and they've closed the intersection of McKay and Central in Burnaby. Police say it was located in a parkade behind the Bread Garden restaurant. Police are keeping the area clear and the Emergency Disposal Unit is on scene to deal with the device.



Buses are currently being re-routed away from the area and traffic is at a standstill. The adjacent mall has not been evacuated. Stay tuned to News1130 for updates on this developing story, and for traffic updates in the area.

BURNABY (NEWS1130) - The bomb squad has removed and detonated a pipe bomb that was discovered at the southeast corner of the Metrotown complex, not far from the Bread Garden.



People in nearby high rise condos were kept away from the park. Stay tuned to News1130 for traffic updates in the area.
