No, that's Vitamin K, and blood platelets etc.

Your red blood cells are empty. Inside are proteins called hemoglobins, each which can hold oxygen molecules. Iron is needed to bind the oxygen to the hemoglobin. With 30% less hemoglobins, female blood therefore carries less oxygen even with equivalent volume; hence their slower athletic times than males (or if they have the same times, it means their bodies must compensate by working 30% harder).

Women are built to last longer when running long distances, but due to testosterone levels, men will always be about 10% faster than women even if they were in the same weight category. Aside from cardio endurance levels, if we solely based it on the functionality of the the female and male body in a distance running scenario, the female body would be more effective in sustainability. In other words, our extra body fat would be fueling our bodies longer than you guys.
