you know those small little ones but definitely not as big as flies... but it's the really really small ones but it's usually have a lot of them.
my friend's window is all shut and have the insect screen and stuff on, but she leaves her stuff everywhere and kinda uncovered when put in garbage, and these little guys show up..
1) where do they show up? (i mean her door's closed most of the time and there's a window screen
2) how do I get rid of them? i can hardly catch them, is there some kind of spray that I can use to just eliminate them altogether?
3) what are they called?
thanks for your help

fruit flies and nats are they the same thing?
i remember when i first lived alone i had dirty dishes n shit everywhere and got swarmed with fruit flies LOL so i left a slice of pizza out on purpose with the box open then i let them gather on the slice and then i threw the box in the microwave and tried to kill them off that way. then theres another group that was just gathering on the corner of my kitchen cabinets so i got a semi wet towel and just wacked the flies like that killed some again not all. still get goosebumps thinking about it ugh

fruit flies?
you clean up. then get a moderate sized fan, open the window (take off the screen), put the fan on the window sill and turn it on.
they're able to get inside because they're smaller than the little holes in your screen

Yup, there fruit flies but you can find tiny flies around your house if you have indoor plants. I noticed tiny flies in my washroom a few days ago and it was because of a plant I purchased last weekend.
fruit flies and tell your friend to keep her legs closed

Get an electric fly swatter from the night market and swing it like crazy around those bitches and watch them fall to the ground.

1 - fruit flies come into your house inside pieces of fruit, when they are still only larvae.
2- Dont leave food out... cover the garbage can.
3. Drosophila melanogaster

i've never had a problem? maybe the odd one or 2 but very rarely.
if i walked into a girls house that looked like the kind of place a bunch of fruit flies would hang out, id turn around and leave
Its troublesome but you gotta throw your garbage out on a nightly basis. Having a covered garbage can doesn't help. For some reason, they're tiny enough to creep in its little nooks and crannies. They escape once you open it.

If you toss your trash out daily and theyre still there, there might be another source.. Somethin dead? I usually find it takes em a day or two to propagate their territory before I start goin in search of the rottin piece of somethin.
Fly swatters suck too, these motherfuckers are small. like tryin to hit a pea with a tennis racket.

off topic:
last year when my buddies garden was starting to decompose there was a huge cloud of fruit flies over the middle of the garden. while blazing we'd take turns exhaling into the cloud of fruit flies.
it was hilarious. they'd be going a 100mph then all of a sudden every single one would slow down matrix styles for 5 seconds then get back to 100mph.
