shaw telephone compatibility with telus internet?

Hi im not sure if this is the right forum so mods please do move it if need be.
im just getting shaw phone installed today and i was told by the installer that my adsl (telus) won't work anymore because of the new phone line. my question is, is there a solution as i want to stick with my telus plan. im sure theres a way so i can have telus internet and shaw phone but i don't have any clue if there's some sort of converter or that i need a whole new seperate line dedicated to my internet.
any help would be appreciated

thanks in advance

Telus can probably install a "new" line into your house. I was running Telus TV with two boxes. That in itself, ate up the entire allocated bandwidth and would significantly slow down my internet speeds. I called Telus to see what they could do. They suggested wiring up a new trunk to my house to the local demarc available. So far, so good and I'm getting good download speeds.
