I've got an LCD with a nuked screen (at least I think it's the screen) so I want to replace the panel but I can't find anything at all about the company that made the monitor or the numbers stamped on the board connected to the screen.

So I need help finding out what panels I can put in a "Metro 15LS". It doesn't matter if the screen fits the case or whatever as it's not going back in the case anyways, I just need to find the company Metro buys their panels from or something. Could I possibly run a bigger panel with this board?

TIA

LCD driver boards are very picky things, they might only accept one specific model of LCD panel. (even Rev.A and Rev.B versions of an identical model might give you problems.)

You're better off replacing the whole monitor.

damn. I don't really want a whole new monitor as I'm gonna tear it apart anyways (I got this one free). The board that the VGA plugs into and controls the speakers and backlight is fine, it's the boards directly connected to the LCD panel that are broken.
