want to know what rubbing it in is? remember that year when stores were sold out of ice, so the city of vancouver told its residents to go down to the works yard and they could get 1 pail for free? ... well, the pail i chose was basically this 100 litre one ... took me and my dad to lift it into my truck. needless to say, i still have alot of it leftover. oh yeah he got one too :P

But will it be a warmer-than-normal fall? News1130 meteorologist Russ Lacate says relatively mild weather could remain in place for South Coast B.C.

Lacate says a weak El Nino episode in the Central Pacific will begin to exert its influence on the weather for the west coast of North America over the next several months. "Initially, we will experience and extended stretch of 'virtual summer' through the end of September, with sunshine and possible record heat in the forecast again. Then, compared to seasonal normals, the outlook for October and November remains unusually mild and dry for the B.C. south coast."

Lacate says a persistent high pressure ridge along the coastline will likely result a late arrival of the fall storm season in the Lower Mainland this year. "Based on the information available to date, I would anticipate fewer storms, slightly above average temperatures, and slightly below normal rainfall amounts for the next two months. Conversely, this pattern would support more frequent episodes of fog through October and November, particularly over the Inner Straits."
