| store open when under renovations
can a retail store remain open when a part of the store is under renovations ?
is there any regulations that say the store must cease buisness when it is under renovations ??

Not sure but I've been to many retail stores that are open while construction is happening.

they are putting up a wall around a section of the store ... just wondering cause the dust from the renovation is causing some employee to have allergic reactions

i don't think so as long as WCB regulations are enforced. i still remember huge sections of metrotown being renovated with tarps, temp drywalling and scaffolding everywhere and people were still able to shop.

We do work in stores that remain open from time to time. Usually they'll drape poly (plastic) to help with the dust.

typically employers can do total particulate and respirable dust monitoring if there is an issue with employee health. There is a guideline that is followed.
