I can see how the clears could be considered rice, I'm on the fence though. The black ones are better imo, sleek and subtle ftw.

i guess alot of aftermarket headlights + tail lights tend do try and ape euro style heads...but if you think about it, whats designo's trademark around here? led strip :) whered they get it from? audi :) doesnt seem to stop ppl from getting them :haha: no hate on your theory cuz i agree, alot of ppl do stuff to their car so they look like higher model or class cars...i put brushed mirrors on my golf to mimic an RS4 ^^"

OP, dont be discouraged to get the black ones, they look pretty clean but beware, if you put them on a stock car it will be borderline rice :thumbsup:

They all look nice. I don't think upgrading your headlights should ever be considered rice.

98 times out of 100 aftermarket headlight housings end up decreasing not only the quality of your headlight output, but the build quality as well. I would rarely (if ever) consider aftermarket headlight housings an "upgrade" from a performance perspective...

Style wise, the headlights that the OP posted don't do it for me (especially the blacked out ones)...they look cheap. The retrofitted OEM units posted by nns look like quite nice.

It looks good just not a fan of the BMW angel eyes on any car other than a Bimmer...

But I wonder how the light output is. From my experience aftermarket rarely performs as well as OEM

^ Not all OEM projectors are that great. e46 HID projectors are pretty poor stock. S2000 & TSX projectors are suppose to be some of the best OEM projectors.

Lots of people mod their OEM HID projectors (not for rice purposes, but for functionality). Just take a look at hid-planet.com/forums.

dude, if you want a euro car, get one, don't bastardize your poor Toyota with halo's and LED's.

IMO LED's on cars look like shit. If you can see the individual LED's that's just tacky, like those cheap fake neon tubes with LED's. Hell I even think the LED's on the R8 look bad but at least it *almost* pulls them off.
