I'm running out of my Dymatize 12 hr protein MRP
Just wondering if there are better options available?
I've determined that I need an MRP.
Worst case scenario I guess I can throw in 2 scoops of whey + oats + peanut butter (fat to slow whey absorption) + other crap to increase the calories.

Make sure the ingredients on your peanut butter just says "peanuts". Or "peanuts, salt". Although I'm not a big fan of peanut oil, since it's very high in omega-6 and you are probably getting way too much of that already. At least you're not using "vegetable" oil though.
Also coconut milk/cream is a very nice filler. It tastes REALLY fucking good, and is full of healthy fat.
Try flax seed meal instead of oats.
My favourite shake right now is whole milk + coconut milk + water + chocolate whey + golden flax seed meal, chasing a tablespoon of lemon fish oil :)
milk + chocolate whey + flax
you'd be surprised at how well the flax fills you up

Coconut milk you should be able to buy in any grocery store that sells Asian food. Make sure there is only ONE ingredient: Coconut Milk (or Cream). Chaokoh is my favourite brand, and the most common in Thailand.
Flax seed meal, look for it at any health food store, or even in the grocery stores. Make sure it comes in a container that is not clear, and keep it sealed and stored in the refrigerator.
Fish oil, the best deal I have come across are the 500 Ml bottles of Ascenta from YVS. It's about $40 for a bottle, which should last a couple months, depending on how much you are using. For fat-loss, you should be taking 2 Tbsp per day, so that's 2 bottles a month. This is one supplement that is totally worth paying the price for. If you were to attempt to do the same with standard capsules, you'd be looking at taking 20-30 pills a day.

holy shit man $80 a month if you're consuming 2 bottles/month
XD I like how you said a bottle should last a couple months depending on usage, then say for 2 tbsp a day you'll need 2 bottles to last a month. 2 tbsp isn't a lot man lol
personally i cant stand the taste of flax seed meal

I just did the math
2 tbsp = 30 ml
1 bottle = 500 ml
500 / 30 = 16 days appx.
1 month = 30 days
30 / 16 = 2 appx
So approximately 2 bottles a month, if you are taking 2 full tablespoons every single day without skipping dosages.

lol I did the math too
I'm not saying you're wrong
I think there might be some confusion. I just thought it was funny because while reading your post I went from "wow $40 can last several months depending on dosage" to "wtf 2 bottles a month????" for what looked like a pretty standard dosage (2 tbsps a day). You had my hopes up for a sec there XD
Anyway enough about that,
For now I'm just finishing up my Wild Pacific Salmon Oil from OmegaFactors. 1000mg 210 softgels. I only got it cause it was like $17 at Popeyes lol.
Of course, not saying these are any better. In fact, I know fuck all when it comes to picking your brands for fish oil. One thing I know for sure though. I hate softgels.

2 tbsp is not a "standard dosage", it's a very high dose that you take if you want to enjoy the weight-management benefits of fish oil. Most people don't realize that with any supplement or food, you usually have to take quite a high dose to get anything from them.
If you're just looking to help balance out your omega 3 - 6 ratio, then 2-3 teaspoons should be enough, along with removing all the garbage oil in your kitchen (canola, soybean oil, etc) with good oil (olive, coconut, lard).

oh is it? my bad then.
What I meant was standard if that's what it says to take in the bottle. ie. if the bottle has a recommended dosage of x amount, then that's the standard. I just assumed 1 tbsp twice a day would be what it says.
Just wondering, what DOES it say on the bottle? Like the recommended dose? Not for fat loss specifically.

It says 1 or 2 teaspoons a day I believe

If I can get flax seed meal (and yes, it's just ground flax seeds) in grocery stores in Hong Kong of all places, you should be able to get it at any grocery store in Canada.
