If they wanted to save gas, why the pick-up truck in the first place.
Although he is getting even better millage then my integra.
That's one of the best looking cars that have any mods to them.
You get to drive around a cool looking pickup and still get almost 30mpg, that's awesome.

:haha:

question is... how much did those "mods" cost... and are the fuel savings really offsetting the fuel savings...

I could really only see that being beneficial on the hwy...

That truck doesn't look bad to me, if the wheelwell covers were done more professionally and the hubcaps painted I think it'd look pretty cool.

Proper tire inflation, weight reduction, and easing up on the gas pedal will get you 33 MPG without ugly mods like that.

Yes, I drive a hybrid, but there is an interesting little L/100 km gauge that tells you how much gas you're using.

Some days when I drive like a total ARSE, I can use up to 20L/100km and some days I'm doing 5L/100km

It's all about driving habit.

I was going to suggest a new set of this year's Yokohama AD08's to incrementally improve milage.
Upon closer look, why bother?
