Is there such a thing? Anyone know of a korean restaurant that serves something other than white rice w/ their Bi Bim Bap?
If there isn't such a thing, where have you guys had the best bi bim bap?

I want Haemul Pajun (Seafood pancake), then maybe some Kalbi Tang. followed by a nice bowl of Bi Bim Bap. Man, I'm craving for it now....

Anybody know where I can buy the potato dish that has a sweet glaze (they usually serve this as an appetizer at restaurants)? I didn't see it at H-mart...

Potato Side Dish
2 x Potatoes
1/4 - 1/2 of a White Onion (depending on size)
2 x Cloves of Garlic
1/2 Cup of Water
2 Tbsp of Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp of Sugar
1 Tbsp of Corn Syrup
1 tsp of Sesame Oil
1 tsp of Sesame Seed
Ground Pepper for taste
Peanut/Vegetable Oil
1. Heat Saucepan, put oil then potatoes, cook until translucent, then combine onion, garlic, water, soy sauce, sugar and corn syrup
2. Cover saucepan and cook for another 7-10 minutes
3. Combine the rest of the ingredients (sesame seed, sesame oil, black pepper).
NOTE:
I like to make mine more saucy, so I usually double the water, soy sauce, corn syrup, and sugar.

thats cause nobody actually eats this stuff at home as a side dish. i think its a western inspired thing served in restaurants here

I agree. This is not an authentic side dish served in South Korea.

^you can also pour water or barley tea in the bowl when you're done, and it makes it into sort of a congee.
