I know most of you photo guru's are into DSLR and stuff but I was wondering, what would you guys recommend for just a regular point and shoot camera?

I'm not too fond of my old Sony P200 camera and I was thinking about the SD800IS during that time but I got the P200 as a gift so..didn't want to spend another $350 on a new SD800IS.

I think I should try Canon since I've heard a lot of good reviews for it but I'm open to suggestions.

I bought my parents a canon SD1200 IS...it has surprisingly good image quality for a $170 camera.

If you're willing to spend a bit more, the new Fuji F70 EXR, Fuji F200 EXR, Canon S90 and Panasonic LX3 are excellent choices.

i second the SD line. great great camera for the price. I carry that and use it in place of my work camera when im traveling around.
