This past week I worked on a commercial for the new SLS AMG, not to be released until next year.
Pretty awesome car all around. It wasn't 100% complete, the German tech guy had to keep pulling the dash out to tweak the electronics. But it was amazing.

The car ripped up and down the street a couple times; sounds AMAZING. Really throaty and loud from the V8...not like any Mercedes I've heard before. Normally I think Mercedes as quiet and toned down, but this thing was a BEAST.

I got to lift the gullwing door :) Pretty kickass. Interior is really nice. I would expect that for a $320,000 car.

The nose of the car is quite long, but makes sense; leaves room for the massive radiator. There's a popup spoiler on the hatch, pops up Porsche-style above 80km/h.

I'd like to have seen a different style of rim on the car, something beefier and more agressive with a deeper offset, rather than the played out standard AMG wheels.

All in all thumbs up Mercedes. Nice throwback to the 300SL.

Yeah, I almost want the camera truck more. It was pretty sweet, the dudes sit inside and control everything while it drives. I would make some SWEET car movies with that thing!

I see the similarity with Lexus...but MB pulls it off much better.

People will love it cause its new and has gull-wing doors.

I personally hate it. The original was smaller with much better curves. This one is much bigger, with an ugly front end (looks like a Viper ate a 350Z, should have had the signature round headlamps) and the rear end is not inspiring, especially the exhaust tips on such a beefy engine.
